CONSUMER PROTECTION
This is information age. Your life – your income, buying habits, debts, housing, and jobs – has already probably been profiled and dissected at least one, not all three, of big credit bureaus. Those companies make their money by selling your profile in one form or another as often as possible. They also allow inaccurate information to pollute your credit report and stubbornly refuse to correct those errors.
Federal law governs the handling of credit reports, and our firm has been pioneer in Georgia advocating for consumers in their credit report-related disputes. Whether your credit report contains errors that the credit bureau refuses to correct, or the credit bureau has sold your credit report to entities that are not eligible to see it, we may be able to help you. If you think someone has received your credit report improperly, or if you are having trouble getting incorrect information removed from your credit report, I may be able to help. Please note, however, that I can and under federal law must make no promise to “repair” anyone’s credit. We will analyze your situation and give you our best advice as to the options you have.
In the matter of improper foreclosures, Georgia law strongly favors creditors. They may lawfully repossess your car or home without a moment’s consideration by any court.
There are, however, certain procedures that all creditors must follow before they take your assets. If you are about to lose your home to foreclosure, or if a creditor has already foreclosed, and you feel that the creditor failed to conduct the foreclosure lawfully, then I may be able to help.

WILLS, ESTATE PLANNING, AND PROBATE LITIGATION
If you have issue regarding wills, estate planning, probate of estates, or probate-related litigation, then I can be of assistance.
Estate planning is a three-legged stool. You should have a last will and testament, a financial power of attorney, and an advanced directive to provide guidance for your health care when you are unable to communicate. I help families prepare those documents so that their families and possessions are protected. If you have a substantial estate, you may require more careful planning as part of your will. I can tailor your will to include insurance trusts, credit shelter trusts or other such estate tax saving provisions.
When you have lost a loved one, I can also assist in the probate of their estate. “Probate” is simply the name given to the process of administering someone’s estate. If a person dies with a will – called dying “testate” in probate parlance – then I will assist the executor named in the will to administer the estate in accordance with the will. If someone dies without a will – called dying “intestate” in probate parlance – then I assist the family member or friend who offers to serve as administrator of the estate handle the affairs in accordance with state law.
Finally, the death of a loved one sometimes leads to tensions and difficulties. The person administering an estate may find their actions being challenged. Conversely, a beneficiary or family member may believe they are not being treated properly. In either case, I can also bring years of experience in probate litigation to assisting in your representation.
CRIMINAL DEFENSE AND CIVIL RIGHTS

Sometimes, interactions with law enforcement can escalate unnecessarily. While most law enforcement and government officials their job in professional and courageous manner for unbelievably little pay, are few people, acting under the authority of law, abuse their power and beat or injure innocent people or fail to take reasonable steps to protect defenseless prisoners – and too frequently get away with it for years and years. The U.S. Constitution and federal law is supposed to protect you from these abuses. GENERAL LITIGATION
As one who make his living as litigator, it may seem strange for me to say it, but litigation is lousy way to resolve disputes. It should as last resort.
